Funny thing, Kurt and Sammy from the BoDeans still do play a lot of small gigs around Milwaukee and Madison. I met one of them (not sure which) at a block party this past summer and I met the other one at a coffee house solo show he played. Considering the Onion guys are from Mad-town its possible they actually lifted that line from a real show instead of making it up.
